Southern Iran to host daffodils festival

A flower festival dedicated to daffodils is scheduled to be held in Khafr County, southern Fars Province of Iran.

According to local tourism officials, the cultural and historical identities of the county will be introduced as part of the festival.

Khafr is one of the main hubs of daffodil production in the country. 

A handicrafts market will also be held on the sidelines of the festival.

In the Persian culture and literature, the daffodil symbolizes the eye, usually the eye of the beloved. A daffodil’s inside recalls the pupil of the eye. 

 The daffodils festival will be held on December 29 and 30, 2022.
