Participating international filmmakers at the Int'l Children and Youth Film Festival in Isfahan speak to ifilm in an exclusive interview about the fest.
Giovanni Pompili from Italy and a director from Slovenia were among the directors who said to ifilm how it feels like to be at the Iranian event.
Pompili, producer of ‘The Silence’, expressed his joy for representing the film at the event which is directed by two Iranian filmmakers Ali Asgari and Farnoush Samadi.
“This is the thirtieth edition of the festival, so I’m pretty sure it is already well-established, that’s why we were very proud to be invited here,” one of the directors said.
The International Film Festival for Children and Youth is organized annually by the Farabi Cinema Foundation in affiliation with the Iranian Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs.
The event celebrates films made for children and youth. It also supports emerging filmmakers with innovative cinematic visions and ideas as well as serves as a platform for professionals to come together and exchange ideas.
The 30th edition of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth is underway in the city of Isfahan.
