“Is having good intentions enough?”: iFilm cut

Ziba and Haj Mavaddat are going to say heartrending goodbye on the 24th episode of ‘A House without a Bird’ at 21:00 GMT tonight.

In their final talk, Ziba and Haj Mavaddat try to clear their hearts and keep on with their lives.

Ziba is shutting her eyes in anguish because Haj Mavaddat has now found his real daughter; and Ziba’s long desire of having a family has been faded away.

“Maybe this happened so that I’d realize just how having good intentions isn’t enough but the way we want to show our good intentions is important. It has to be right,” says Ziba in grief.

Produced by Amir-Hossein Sharifi and directed by Kazem Masoumi, ‘A House without a Bird’ tells the story of Abbas and his wife who have been looking for their daughter whom they lost during the war some thirty years ago.

After they publish an advertisement for the missing person in a newspaper, a young woman shows up and claims to be their long-lost daughter.

A DNA test confirms that she is indeed Abbas’s daughter, bringing joy to their lives.

But the new discovery also threatens to reveal a deep dark secret that Abbas has been hiding all these years which could tear their family apart.

Mohammad Hatami, Ronak Younesi, Saeed Nikpour, Ahou Kheradmand, Esmaeel Khalaj, and Jafar Dehqan make the cast team of the series.
