Cinemas welcome Fajr filmfest

Iranian cinemas have welcomed the 41st edition of Fajr Film Festival.

A number of cinema halls in Tehran other cities have registered to host the latest edition of the event.

The secretariat of the festival announced that the optimal quality of sound and image, the condition of the movie theater and other amenities of the cinema are among the criteria that are taken into consideration in the selection of theaters.

Established in 1982, the Fajr International Film Festival celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.

Since its establishment, the Fajr Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.

The 41st edition of the festival, headed by Mojtaba Amini, will take place on February 1-10.
