A beauty called Persian-Kurdish horse

The Persian-Kurdish horse is named after a group of horses founded in western provinces of Iran.

The Persian-Kurdish horse, also known as the Kurd horse, is named after a group of horses found in western provinces of Iran.

The Kurdish horse of Iran is a unique Iranian horse breed which has been recently added to the National Intangible Cultural Heritage list.

The breed originates from western Iran, where the mountainous and cold climate has developed a unique horse breed resistant to harsh environmental conditions.

Back in December, a media report said Iran is preparing a dossier for its Persian-Kurdish horse for possible inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

The dossier is to be prepared under the title of knowledge and skill for breeding and keeping Kurdish horses.

Despite the Kurd horse’s origin going back to the Iranian province of Kermanshah, it may be registered internationally because it is also bred in the Kurdish regions of Iraq, Turkey, and Syria.
