iFilm exclusive report on Iranian feature ‘Mansour’

iFilm English TV Channel has released an exclusive report on Iranian movie ‘Mansour’ written and directed by Siavash Sarmadi.

iFilm interviewed the producer Jalil Shabani, as well as two actors in the flick, Mohsen Qassabian and Seyyed-Javad Hashemi.

Sarmadi’s film, previously known as ‘Owj 110’, tells some untold stories about the eight years of Sacred Defense during the 1980-88 Iraqi imposed war on Iran.

This story highlights the life of Mansour Sattari and his contributions to Iranian aviation. It specifically focuses on the creation of the first fully Iranian-made warplane.

Iraq invaded Iran on September 22, 1980. The war, which began 19 months after the victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, lasted almost eight years and ended on August 20, 1988.

In addition to Qassabian, who has played the role of Sattari, and Hashemi, the cast list of the movie includes Linda Kiani, Qasem Zare, Hamid-Reza Naeemi, and Alireza Zamaninasab.

The 10th Qoqnus Screen Awards in Iran honored ‘Mansour’ as one of the top movies of the year. It was also nominated for two awards at the 39th Fajr Film Festival in Iran.
