In the Bakhtiari customs, when the bride's family agrees to marriage, the groom's family chooses a suitable time and goes to the bride's house with a group of elders.

Because in the end an agreement is reached, the groom would kiss the hand of the girl's father.

Then, the boy and the girl are officially engaged.
