Iran’s Persepolis, which was the capital of the Achaemenid Empire, is one the greatest archaeological sites in the world.

Persepolis’ ruins rest in Iran’s southwestern city of Shiraz.

The walls there were decorated with reliefs that say a lot about geographical and historical features as well as rituals of ancient Iran.
