Alendan lake via camera eyes

Alendan lake, situated in Sari County, is one of the tourist attractions of Mazandaran Province in northern Iran.

One of the main features of the lake is that its area changes depending on the amount of rainfall. It has an area of 17 hectares that even reaches 30 hectares during heavy rains.

The water entering the some 2.5-million-year-old lake comes from snowmelt and rain.

In winter, the lake, which is inscribed on Iran’s National Heritage List, becomes a habitat for wild ducks.
