Mojtaba Amini to preside over 42nd edition of Fajr fest

Iranian producer Mojtaba Amini has been named the director of the 42nd edition of Fajr International Film Festival in Iran.

The head of Iran’s Cinema Organization, Mohammad Khazaei, appointed Amini as the director of the upcoming edition of FIFF as he appreciated his efforts to make the last edition of the festival a success.

Mojtaba Amini headed the 41st edition of Fajr.

The Fajr festival coincides with the Ten-Day Fajr ceremonies across Iran, marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Since its establishment in 1982, the festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

Since its 41st edition, the domestic and international versions of Fajr film festival have once again been held as part of one event titled “Fajr International Film Festival” after five editions of separate versions.

The 42nd edition of Fajr International Film Festival will take place next February.
