‘Loupetoo’ sold-out two days ahead of screening in Moscow

The screening of Iran’s animation ‘Loupetoo’ in Moscow has been sold out.

The screening of Iran’s animation ‘Loupetoo’ in Moscow, as part of the programs of Iran’s Culture Week in Russia, has been sold out.

All tickets for ‘Loupetoo’, which is scheduled to be screened in Moscow on Saturday, was sold by Thursday.

The name of the film is inspired by the word which is used by Iranians in Kerman Province to refer to handmade toys that mothers used to make for their children in the past.

‘Loupetoo’, directed by Abbas Askari, is about a hospital where Dr. Saeed Kamali treats his patients with mental health conditions by letting them make toys.

“A person disguised as a patient vandalizes the workshop and causes its closure. The doctor’s son, Ali, tries to help his father to solve the problem,” a synopsis for the film reads.

Iran’s Culture Week in Russia kicked off on July 4 and will run until Sunday.
