Flamingos fly over Maharlu Lake

Maharlu is a seasonal lake that dries up at the end of summer and is full of water again by rain during autumn and winter.

The lake in south of the country is one of the main habitats of flamingos and various species of birds.

Several hundreds of birds live in this lake every year.
