In memory of Nelson Mandela

Today reminds us about the anti-apartheid revolutionary and philanthropist Nelson Mandela who was born on July 18, 1918.

Iranians have paid tribute to the anti-apartheid South African leader by naming one of their most famous streets ‘Nelson Mandela’ in his honor. Nelson Mandela Street is also famous for being one of the liveliest streets in Tehran.

Two books have also been published on his life and achievements in Persian.
