Catch glimpse of Arbaeen theater event

Here is a video offering a glimpse into an Arbaeen theater event underway in Iran and Iraq. 

The cultural event marks the 40th day after the martyrdom anniversary of the third Shia Imam, known as the Arbaeen.

Theatrical troupes are enacting thought-provoking plays themed on Imam Hussein's (AS) martyrdom in the Battle of Karbala. According to an entry call for the event, plays are performed in Persian, Arabic, Turkish, English, Urdu and French.  

Both Iraq and Iran host the event that runs until this year's Arbaeen on September 6.

Iran's Islamic Promotion Organization is one of the main organizers of the international event.
