Iranian actor Atila Pesyani passes away

Popular Iranian actor Atila Pesyani has passed away.

The veteran actor died at the age of 66 after a battle with cancer. The actor had been undergoing treatment in France and unfortunately passed away on Friday due to the illness.

His body was aet to be brought back to Iran on Tuesday.

Amin Zendegani to Host New Talent Show

Iranian star Amin Zendegani is set to host a new talent show called "Shekoofa." The big television competition is currently in the pre-production phase and is expected to air after the production stages are completed.

"Shekoofa" is an entertainment program centered on knowledge-based companies, produced in the format of a talent show. In the show, several entrepreneurs and knowledge-based companies will compete against each other.

Official posters have been released for three upcoming Iranian short films:

• Zak, written and directed by Ali Khosravi
• Remake, written and directed by Ali Tavakkoli
• Sourahil, directed by Esmaeel Azimi

Mellat Complex to host Tehran Int’l Short filmfest

Mellat Cinematic Complex is scheduled to host the Tehran International Short Film Festival.

The complex will host artists, media, critics and audience of the 40th edition of the Tehran International Short Film Festival.

This year’s edition of the event is scheduled for October 19-24, 2023.

Iran VoD to host new shows

Iran’s VoD platforms are to offer new TV shows ‘Oscars’ and ‘Jocker 2’.

Popular Iranian actor and filmmaker Mehran Modiri will host ‘Oscars’ in 20 episodes.

Renowned Iranian TV host Ehsan Alikhani has been selected as the host for ‘Jocker 2’.

Filmfest for Children and Youth opened

The Iranian International Film Festival for Children and Youth has been inaugurated in Isfahan.

The festival is underway in two sections: main competition and side-lines.

The competition section includes two sub-sections: Iranian films competition and international films competition.

Kordestan to host first int’l health tourism expo

The first international health tourism exhibition is set to be held in Kordestan Province.

Referring to the establishment of more than 120 booths in this exhibition, Mansour Mehrzad, the Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Kordestan said this cultural event includes various pavilions in the fields of wellness and health tourism, skin and beauty, dentistry, medical equipment, traditional medicine, herbal medicine, and pharmaceutical products.
