Exploring 'Valley of the Wolves: Palestine' - A tale of justice

'Valley of the Wolves: Palestine' takes us on a cinematic journey back to 2011.

'Valley of the Wolves: Palestine' (Turkish: Kurtlar Vadisi: Filistin) takes us on a cinematic journey back to 2011.

The story, directed by Zübeyr Sasmaz, revolves around the iconic character Polat Alemdar, portrayed by Necati Şaşmaz, and his courageous team. They embark on a mission to Israel with one goal in mind: to track down and bring to justice the Israeli military commander responsible for orchestrating an attack on a Gaza aid flotilla.

The film draws its inspiration from real-life events, specifically the Israeli attack on the Mavi Marmara, a Turkish aid ship carrying pro-Palestinian activists to Gaza in May 2010.

The film's plot centers on superhero Alemdar's determination to catch the commander behind the raid.

It includes Israelis planning to create "a great Israel" and shows an Israeli soldier questioning Alemdar about why he came to Israel. “I have not come to Israel,” the hero responds. “I have come to Palestine.”

An Israeli soldier intimidates Alemdar by saying: “Know that you can't escape our promised lands!”

“I don't know where you were promised ... but I promise you its graves,” the hero says in response.

This Turkish blockbuster is a spin-off of the popular Turkish television series ‘Valley of the Wolves’.

The film's narrative and strong character development make it a captivating exploration of heroism, justice, and the enduring struggle for the Palestinian cause.
