Arranged marriage in ‘The Honeymoon’: iFilm cut

Khosrow does not wish to have an arranged marriage in the 5th episode of iFilm’s drama series ‘The Honeymoon’.

Shirin and Khosrow’s marriage plans have been set by their families since they were still two young children. Years have passed and the two cousins have grown up and picked different paths of life for themselves.

Shirin is in love with Amir and the two wish to tie the knot and Khosrow, too, has just returned from abroad and does not wish to marry someone he barely knows.

Khosrow’s mother, however, feels her family is in debt to her brother, Shirin’s father, and thinks her son must marry Shirin as a sign of respect for her brother.

Directed by Shahed Ahmadlou, the 15-episode series is slated to go on air every day at 18:00 GMT. Each part of the show will be repeated the next day at 00:00, 09:00 and 15:00.

‘The Honeymoon’ tells the story of two young people in love and wishing to tie the knots. There are, however, some barriers on their path towards finding happiness.

Amir, an English Language graduate and a Puppetry student, intends to ask Shirin’s father for her hand in marriage. However, Shirin is supposed to marry her cousin, Khosrow and the plans for their union have been set some years ago. While her family considers it done, Shirin is willing to join Amir in matrimony. Knowing her father will never get along, she is seeking some solution to resolve the situation.

Notable among the cast members of the flick are Yousef Teymouri, Kamand Amir-Soleymani, Shahrokh Estakhri, Nafiseh roshan, Mohammad Motee, Amir-Hossein Seddiq, Sahar Valadbeigi, Felora Sam, Parvaneh Masoumi, and Saeed Pour-Samimi.
