Tehran Animation fest unveils competing lineup for int'l section

The selection committee for the 13th Tehran International Animation Festival has released the list of films that will compete in its international section.

The jurors included Nahid Samadi-Amin, Masoud Zin-ol-Abedin, Amirhossein Salehi, Behnoud Nekouee, and Hamidreza Hafezi, who reviewed submissions of more than 1034 films from 72 countries, including 524 from Iran.

A total of 197 films have been selected for participation in the international competition, consisting of 32 from Iran and 165 from other countries.

The films chosen from Iranian submissions include eight short films, five in the children and young adult category, four series, two experimental films, four advertisements, eight student films, and one feature film.

The international selections include 78 short films, 21 animations for children and young adults, three series, six experimental films, 54 student films, and three feature films.

The festival is scheduled for March 3-7, 2024.
