Pictorial report of 42nd Fajr Int’l Film Festival: Day 1

The inauguration of the 42nd Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF) has been unfolded with the screening of Iran-Bangladesh coproduction 'Beautiful Lies’.

Among the stellar films gracing the festival on the opening day was Morteza Atash-Zamzam’s 'Beautiful Lies', a follow-up to his recent work 'Holia'.

The film shows the challenging life of Fereshteh and her husband Amjad, featuring performances by Bangladeshi actors Jaya Ahsan, Suman Rikita, and Salem Shahid.

As the curtains rise on the 42nd FIFF, cinephiles can revel in a cinematic celebration until February 11, 2024.
