Hear a costly "no" in iFilm's ‘Playmate’

Despite what her grandfather expects, Leila says no to a marriage proposal in the 6th episode of iFilm English TV’s brand new series ‘Playmate’.

Leila’s grandpa wishes to hold his family close together at any price. He believes Leila and Mehran’s wedding is the glue to stick the family together. So, he insists them to tie the knot.

Mehran, however, has detached himself from the family and moved to Tehran, where he has fallen in love for another young lady, Ava.

Leila, too, has other plans for her life. The biggest of them is to expand her business and provide job opportunities for the young talented people who might not easily find the appropriate occupation.

Being well-aware of her needs and knowing Mehran’s, she says no to the question her grandfather pops. Watch the consequences of her decision in the upcoming episodes of the show.

The series, directed by Soroush Mohammadzadeh, follows Mehran and Leila.

They are two cousins who were childhood playmates. Their grandfather has always insisted that they should marry each other, but now that they’re grown up, the two have different plans for their lives.

Behnam Tashakkor, Iman Safa, Kamran Tafti and Kamand Amir-Soleymani are part of the cast for the series.

The series has been produced by Iranian-Afghan filmmaker Navid Mahmoudi, whose series ‘The Shade’ has already been aired by iFilm English TV.
