iFilm English TV congratulates Muslims on Eid al-Fitr

iFilm English TV offers congratulations to all Muslims around the world on the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

Eid al-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan and starts this Wednesday in Iran and some other countries around the globe.

Eid is announced at the beginning of the tenth month of the Islamic calendar called Shawwal and is determined when moon-sighting occurs in various countries.

On the Eid day, large meals are distributed to people visiting the houses of relatives and friends.

The Eid comes after Ramadan; Muslims celebrate the Eid to show thankfulness to Allah for enabling them to fast. They take this month as an opportunity to repent to God.

Such an occasion marks the month in which the Quran was first revealed to the Prophet Mohammad [PBUH] and that is one of the reasons why this month is important.
