The not so much charming and penniless prince in the series is indeed a charming and successful artist and father of two in real life. The young star tied the knot early on and started a family before turning 30.
Rostami's artistic career started when he enrolled to study acting at the university. However, he didn’t take a role in any TV or cinematic projects for some years after finishing his studies at the university.
He, took part in a number of acting classes, though, the most important of which was the one by Hamid Samandarian.
In 1998, he took his debut role in a series titled ‘Thousands of Stars’.
Later, he and Rambod Javan were commissioned by the UN to make some short films on the issue of drug addiction.
‘Just Close Your Eyes’ was the title of the movie he took his first cinematic role in. His part in the movie paved the way for him to meet Mehran Modiri, an actor and director who is a national sensation for the amazing comedy series he has made.
The role was also a chance to meet Peyman Qasemkhani, a filmmaker who later offered him a defining role in the series ‘Shams-ol Emareh’.
Rostami was later offered a role in different seasons of the popular comedy ‘Chimney’, where he once again proved he has what it takes to be a top-rated comedian.
iFilm viewers have also seen him in the first and second seasons of ‘The Graduates’ and ‘The Postgraduates’. In the series he plays the role of Masoud, a young man desperate to make some money to finally be able to hold a wedding ceremony and start his married life.
He has also played in the series ‘The Man of a Thousand Faces’, ‘The Daughters of Eve’, ‘A Piece of Land’, ‘Pejman’ and ‘The Last Game’, all of which have been aired by iFilm English TV.
‘Spaghetti in 8 Minutes’, ‘The Boss’, ‘Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus’, ‘A Simple Romance’, ‘Kissing the Moonlike Face’, ‘Surprise’, ‘Operation Kindergarten’ and ‘Woman, Man, Life ...’ are a number of cinematic productions he has appeared in.
Here you can see him in make-up for a cross-gender role he portrayed.
Something fun to know about the star:
Before rising to fame, Amir-Hossein used to couch the tennis enthusiasts. It’s only logical to conclude he has maintained a good shape thanks to his healthy habit of doing sports.
The photos released of him and his older son Arshia (one of the photos above) suggest that Amir-Hossein has passed down his passion for tennis to his son too.
