Iranian VOD platforms are to expand their offerings with new lineup of series.

1. Return of director of ‘Khatoun’ with a new series

Tina Pakravan, the director of the successful series ‘Khatoun’, has launched her new series titled ‘Loneliness’.

This series, set in 1970s Iran, stars Houtan Shakiba, Mehran Modiri, Nazanin Bayati, and Saber Abar.

Produced by Ali Asadzadeh and initially named ‘For the Last Time’, ‘Loneliness’ is currently being filmed in Tehran.

Written by Pakravan, this historical social melodrama also features Babak Hamidiyan, Pantea Panahiha, Mohammad-Reza Ghaffari, Mahsa Hejazi, Mohammad-Reza Sharifinia, Majid Yousefi, and Pouria Shakibaee.

2. Houman Seyyedi's ‘The Savage’ to hit VOD

‘The Savage’, a new series written and directed by Houman Seyyedi and produced by Mohammad-Reza Saberi, has begun filming.

This incident drama follows the story of a serial killer portrayed by Javad Ezzati, with additional performances by Negar Javaherian, Saeed Aqakhani, and Navid Pourfaraj.

The series consists of 18 episodes and is set to be broadcast on Iranian VOD platforms soon.
