ImagineIndia to feature Iranian-Tajikistani film

Imagineindia International Film Festival in Spain is set to host the Iranian-Tajikistani film 'Melody' with a renowned Iranian actress serving as a jury member.

The Iranian-Tajikistani film 'Melody', directed by Iranian filmmaker Behrouz Sebt Rasoul, is scheduled to be screened at the official section on September 4.

The film explores themes of love, loss, and the enduring power of music.

Set against the backdrop of a village in Iran, ‘Melody’ follows the story of a young music teacher named Melody who is tasked with composing a piece using the sounds of thirty different birds for a ceremony celebrating the end of autumn. As Melody goes on a journey to record the birdsongs, she receives help from the caretaker of her family home, Mango.

Besides the screening of ‘Melody’, the festival will feature Mahtab Keramati as a jury member.

Keramati is no stranger to iFilm English viewers, as she has already played outstanding roles in several Iranian series aired by the channel, including 'Saint Mary' and 'The Men of Angelos'.

The 2024 edition of the Imagineindia International Film Festival will be held in Madrid from September 1 to September 16.
