1. ‘Blood Day’ nears completion: A mini-series on Shah Cheragh terrorist attack

Iranian director Reza Hemmati is going to finish the production of his mini-series titled ‘Blood Day’ soon. It focuses on the tragic Shah Cheragh terrorist incident.

The series, consisting of seven 40-minute episodes, delves into the lives of the martyrs and survivors of the attack.

Filming is currently underway in Shiraz, with 80% of the scenes already completed.

The cast features prominent actors such as Mohammad Fili, Mehdi Sabahi, Hadiseh Tehrani, and Azita Torkashvand.

The terrorist attack, which took place on October 26, 2024, in Shiraz, resulted in the martyrdom of at least 15 people and injuries of 40 others.

2. Mokhtar Saeqi joins cast of ‘Kamal’s Tales’ sequel

Renowned Iranian actor Mokhtar Saeqi has announced his participation in the second season of the series ‘Kamal’s Tales’, directed by Qodratollah Saleh-Mirzaee.

Currently in the preparatory stages, filming for the series is expected to begin soon.

The first part of the series depicted life in Iran during the 1960s under the Pahlavi regime, highlighting the resistance against western cultural influence and the struggles of a young man named Kamal.

The series is co-written by Hossein Amir-Jahani, Azadeh Mohseni, and Nasim Arab-Amiri. It features a star-studded cast list, including Shohreh Lorestani and Mahmoud Pakniyyat.

Saeqi is known for his roles in numerous acclaimed films and series such as ‘The Deportees’ and ‘The Pahlavi Hat’.
