Fatemeh Javahersaz, a film critic, manager of iFilm English TV and the Fajr International Film Festival Market, was on the jury panel of the event held in Italy's Trento.
The jury members released a statement on the closing ceremony of the fest, condemning Israel's genocide in Palestine and calling for an end to the war.
Besides, the event announced two Iranian titles as winners. Mona Shams won the special Jury mention for her animation 'Phoenix' and Daryoush Yari grabbed the interfaith award for his movie 'Love Passion'.
The Religion Today International Film Festival is “the first Italian festival of spiritual cinema and inter-religious dialog”, according to official website of the event.
Founded in 1997, it is an international and itinerant film festival dedicated to religious diversity for a culture of peace and interfaith dialog.
The 27th edition of the festival took place on September 18–25, 2024.
