‘The Wolf and the Seven Young Goats’ to debut with star voice cast

The animated film ‘The Wolf and the Seven Young Goats’ is to hit the big screen soon.

The animated film ‘The Wolf and the Seven Young Goats’ is to hit the big screen soon, featuring a stellar voice cast of top Iranian actors.

Codirected by Kianoush and Farzad Dalvand, the film made its domestic debut at the 36th International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Isfahan, where it has already garnered positive feedback from both audiences and critics.

Following its success at the festival, the film is set for a wider public release soon.

With dubbing directed by Mohammad-Reza Alimardani, the film boasts an impressive list of voice actors, including notable stars such as Houtan Shakiba, Hamed Ahangi, Behnoush Bakhtiari, and Houman Haji Abdollahi, among others.

The screenplay, based on the popular Persian folktale, is written by Kianoush Dalvand in collaboration with American and Canadian writers, giving the story a fresh and modern twist.

‘The Wolf and the Seven Young Goats’ has already garnered international acclaim, having been shown at major film festivals including Sundance, Warsaw, Kenya, Cairo, Goa, and Sharjah.

It has won three prestigious awards, including best animation, best screenplay, and best sound at the Kenya Film Festival, as well as an honorary diploma from Sundance’s children’s film section.  

Earlier, the film’s participation at the Berlin Global Market helped draw international attention to the evolving Iranian animation industry, signaling a bright future for the genre.

Produced by Daryoush Dalvand and Sara Emami, ‘The Wolf and the Seven Young Goats’ was made possible with the support of the Sheyda VOD platform and backed by the Tehran-based Tourism Finance Group.
