Iran-Afghanistan ‘Whales’ to premiere soon

The joint Iran-Afghanistan film ‘Whales’ is to be released in cinema halls soon.

Directed by Qolamreza Jafari, the movie's production began in July 2020 and is now ready for its theatrical debut.

Also written by Jafari, ‘Whales’ is produced by Mohammad Ahmadi, with Amir Zemestani as the investor.

The film tells the story of an Afghan family working as caretakers in a villa.

Previously known as ‘Once Upon a Time in Iran’, the movie's cast list includes Sogol Qalatian, Vahid Sheikhzadeh, Amir Zemestani, Shohreh Sadat Mousavi, Hassan Maqsoudi, Saharnaz Abbaszadeh, Elnaz Mohammad-Beigi, Ronika Bahramzadeh, Sohrab Ansarian, and Marjan Alavi.
