Iranian cinemas set box office record with blockbusters

Within the past week, Iranian cinema halls celebrated a remarkable surge in attendance and sales, setting a new box office record.

From October 22 to November 1, nationwide cinema halls recorded sales equivalent to approximately $1.22 million (844 billion rials).

On Friday, the cinema halls saw a record-breaking turnout of 203,259 viewers, bringing in daily sales of about $200,500 (138 billion rials).

The day’s top earners were ‘Pressure Cooker’ and ‘Breakfast with the Giraffe’, which together accounted for 83% of Friday's total sales.

Additionally, Tuesday marked the most-watched day of the ten-day period, drawing a total of 232,230 viewers.

This week’s leading films, based on the box office performance, were ‘Pressure Cooker’, ‘Breakfast with the Giraffe’, and ‘Sheepy, the Hero’.
