Saeed Aqakhani returns to TV with new comedy series ‘Camp’
Acclaimed Iranian actor and director Saeed Aqakhani is set to bring a fresh dose of humor to television with his new comedy series, ‘Camp’.
The upcoming show will consist of 26 episodes, each lasting 45 minutes, and is currently in the scriptwriting phase.
Previously, there had been speculation about the production of a new season of Aqakhani’s hit series ‘N. Kh.’. However, Aqakhani has confirmed that the series has officially concluded, and he has shifted his focus to ‘Camp’.
Aqakhani is no stranger to comedy, having penned several successful sitcoms. Notable works in his portfolio include ‘The Runaway Suspect’ directed by Reza Attaran and ‘Cops and Robbers’ directed by Aqakhani himself, both of which remain fan favorites.
New series on Martyr Beheshti in production
Iran's national broadcaster is set to produce a new television series centered on the life and legacy of Martyr Ayatollah Mohammad Beheshti, one of the most influential figures in the Islamic Revolution.
According to Mohsen Barmahani, Deputy Director of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), several high-profile series are currently in the scriptwriting phase.
These include biographical series on prominent historical and religious figures such as Nasir al-Din al-Tusi, Hazrat Abu Talib (AS), Hazrat Jafar al-Sadiq (AS), and Martyr Beheshti.
Barmahani expressed hope that the production process for all of these projects would proceed smoothly.
