Currently, three popular comedies—‘70C’, ‘Pressure Cooker’, and ‘Breakfast with Giraffes’—are drawing large crowds to theaters.
Among them, ‘70C’is expected to attract even more viewers in the upcoming weeks and months due to its later release. With the combination of these films and the upcoming Nowruz screenings, it is likely that cinema attendance and box office sales will see further growth by the end of the year.
The box office has been significantly boosted by just a few films, with ‘Texas 3’ topping the list. This comedy has attracted 4.4 million viewers and generated 20.6 trillion rials (about $254 million USD), which accounts for about 16% of the total cinema audience this year.
The comedy ‘Pressure Cooker’ has grossed 17 trillion rials (about $210 million USD) and attracted 3.7 million viewers, which represents 13% of the year's total audience.
‘70C’ another comedy, has generated 13.8 trillion rials (about $170 million USD) and has been seen by 3.05 million people, making up 11% of the total audience.
Together, these three films account for 40% of this year's total cinema audience and a combined box office revenue of 63.2 trillion rials (about $780 million USD).
