A member of the press in Gaza shares his feelings regarding the negligence of the world and the mainstream media towards Israel's genocide.

In a poignant statement, Palestinian journalist Abubaker Abed addressed the world, saying that perhaps if they had blond hair and blue eyes, the world would be enraged and vocal on their behalf.

He added, "But because we are Palestinians, the only right we have is to die or be maimed."

The journalist also noted, "We are journalists, and we are Palestinian journalists ... Even the press vest we are wearing right now marks us as a target," adding the mainstream media kept silent about Israel's genocide in Palestine.

He concluded that "journalism is not a crime" and Palestinian journalists shouldn't be killed.
