According to the festival’s public relations, the jury has selected 11 works for the Documentary Film Competition section.
The jury includes Mohsen Barmahani (cultural director and documentary filmmaker), Mehrdad Zahedian (documentary director), Saeed Rashtian (documentary producer), Mohammad Soufi (documentary producer), Pejman Mazaheripour (documentary maker), Mitra Mehtarian (documentary filmmaker and journalist), and Parvin Sadr Saqatol-Eslam (cultural director and researcher).
The selected documentaries are as follows:
‘Bottom Line’ - Directed by Farshad Ektesabi, co-produced by Hamid Mohandesi and Farshad Ektesabi
‘Seoul 3rd Street’ - Directed and produced by Mahmoud-Reza Rezaee
‘About Mehrdad Bahar’ - Directed and produced by Payam Mostofi
‘The Rook’ - Directed by Sam Kalantari, produced by Arash Sadeqi and Sam Kalantari
‘Ahmad’s Era’ - Directed by Mohsen Ardestani Rostami, produced by Sasan Fallahfar
‘Night Falcon’ - Directed and produced by Nasrollah Mohammadi Ayazi
‘The Trick’ - Directed and produced by Nasrollah Mohammadi Ayazi
‘The Anti Hero’ - Directed and produced by Aref Afshar
‘Chemistry’ - Directed by Zahra Ahmadzadeh, produced by Mohammad Hossein Heidari
‘The Limits of Silence’ - Directed and produced by Omid Hashemlou
‘A Handful of Dust’ - Directed and produced by Nima Mahdian
The 43rd Fajr International Film Festival is scheduled to take place in early February at the Manouchehr Shahsavari secretariat.
