Fajr Int’l Handicrafts Festival to celebrate global craftsmanship

The 9th Fajr International Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival, also known as Sarv-e Simin (Silver Cypress), is set to take place in Tehran from February 21 to 24, 2025.

This event will honor Iran's rich cultural heritage and show exceptional craftsmanship under the theme “Consensus and Cultural Diversity”.

Renowned as a global platform for celebrating artistry, the festival will feature a competitive display of masterfully crafted pieces by skilled artisans and designers.

It aims to highlight innovation, creativity, and the highest standards of quality in traditional arts.

The festival’s Fine Handicrafts Section will spotlight classic works of exceptional quality, evaluated by a panel of experts.

Artisans from around the world are invited to submit their creations, supported by detailed descriptions and images via the festival's official website.

Iran’s handicraft sector has recently witnessed impressive growth, with a 53% increase in exports in the first quarter of the current Persian year.

Notably, 13 Iranian cities and three villages have been recognized by the World Council of Handicrafts for their contributions to this thriving industry.
