Jude Law transforms into Putin in ‘The Wizard of the Kremlin’

An on-set photo shows British actor Jude Law as the Russian president in the upcoming movie 'The Wizard of the Kremlin'.

The on-set photo of Law as Vladimir Putin shows him pictured among several colleagues and what looks like a delegation of Arab sheiks from the UAE or Saudi Arabia. 

The film, directed by Olivier Assayas, is nearing the completion of its filming.

Olivier Delbosc is producing The Wizard of the Kremlin on behalf of Curiosa Films. Pierce Capital Entertainment and Gaumont are among the film’s partners, and the latter is steering international sales and distribution in France.

The film's synopsis reads, “Working at the heart of Russian power, Baranov blurs truth with lies, the news with propaganda, directing the entire society like one great reality show."

Speaking ahead of filming, director Assayas said earlier that the feature film "is about trying to make sense of the chaos that is transforming our world in the strangest, most disturbing ways.”
