iFilm to air 'Buried Treasure' 2nd season

iFilm is set to air the highly anticipated second season of the hit humorous-historical series 'Buried Treasure' on Wednesday.

The show, set in the 1970s and 1980s, follows the misadventures of Fariborz Bagh Bisheh, a treasure-obsessed man whose quest leads him into bizarre and often dangerous situations.

These range from getting entangled in the Iraq-Iran war to searching for his brother, Farhad.

In the second season, Fariborz faces new challenges. He loses his treasure at the border and must evade those pursuing him. As he navigates through war-torn areas, he faces numerous obstacles while trying to retrieve his lost treasures. 

Directed by Jalil Saman, the series stars Pejman Jamshidi as Fariborz, along with a talented cast that includes Houman Barqnavard, Zhaleh Sameti, and Hadi Hejazifar.

Both seasons of the TV production have a witty storytelling style and nostalgic setting.

Fans can catch the first episode of the second season on April 2, 2025, at 18:00 GMT.
