‘Reihaneh’s Dream’ champions childbirth
Filming has reached the halfway for ‘Reihaneh’s Dream’, Iran’s first television series centered on the theme of childbirth.
Produced by the Young Producers' House at Simorgh Center in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Ahmad Nojavan, and being directed by emerging filmmakers from the Simorgh branch of IRIB, the 26-episode series is part of a broader initiative aligning with IRIB’s transformation strategy.
The show draws inspiration from real-life stories within traditional Iranian families.
Set in a charitable maternity hospital on the brink of closure, the drama follows the determined staff as they strive to meet national childbirth goals to keep the facility open.
The series began production in February at Baqiyatallah Hospital in Tehran and is expected to wrap filming by June.
The cast includes well-known actors such as Maryam Kaviani, Rabeeh Oskouee, Reza Tavakkoli, Niloufar Shahidi, and Mina Norouzi.
‘Unprecedented General’ explores heroic legacy
The upcoming film ‘Unprecedented General’, currently in the scriptwriting stage, is a social drama penned by Tahereh Valipour and produced by Seyyed Mehdi Javadi.
Set against the backdrop of contemporary Iranian society, the story follows a young man from Kerman who embarks on a personal journey to uncover the hidden connection between his late father and the martyred commander General Qassem Soleimani.
‘Unprecedented General’ is themed upon identity, memory, and generational ties.
