The visit is part of an expanding cultural cooperation between Iran and Russia, aimed at promoting artistic and media exchanges.
The delegation includes actors, directors, and production experts, who are collaborating with Iranian counterparts to develop the series with support from the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).

According to Reza Jafari-Jozani, head of international affairs at IRIB, this initiative is part of a broader strategy to increase international co-productions and showcase Iranian culture to a global audience.
He emphasized that such partnerships not only enhance artistic exchanges, but also counter one-sided media narratives.
The Russian team, visiting key cultural and historical sites in Tehran and Isfahan, expressed admiration for Iran’s rich artistic heritage and its filmmaking infrastructure.
Russian representatives also voiced interest in continuing collaboration beyond this series, potentially exploring historical or literary subjects of mutual interest.
The current project, still in pre-production, is expected to be shot in various Iranian locations and aired on both Iranian and Russian networks.
This initiative follows a memorandum of understanding between IRIB and its Russian counterpart, underscoring both nations’ commitment to cultural diplomacy and the potential of joint media projects.
