According to the creators, ‘The Hero’ will feature a star-studded cast, with details to be announced soon.

The Mahmoudi brothers are well-known for their previous collaborations, including the series ‘Shadows’, which aired on iFilm Arabic.

New cop series ‘Canceled’ coming soon

The upcoming police drama ‘Canceled’, directed by Ramtin Lavvafi, is set to premiere soon on a newly launched Iranian streaming platform.

The series features an ensemble cast including Saber Abar, Hanieh Tavassoli, Mehdi Pakdel, Pedram Sharifi, Setareh Pesyani, and others.

‘Canceled’ marks Lavvafi’s first foray into series directing, following his work on feature films such as ‘Calm Down’ and ‘Hat Trick’.

Epic ‘Rostam and Sohrab’ begins production

Producer Mohammad-Reza Takhtkeshian has announced that preparations are well underway for the epic film ‘Rostam and Sohrab’, which will be directed by acclaimed filmmaker Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian.

The long-anticipated adaptation of the legendary tale from Ferdowsi’s ‘Shahnameh’ is expected to enter production later this year.

In a statement to the press, Takhtkeshian revealed that extensive groundwork has been in progress for months, including cost-efficiency testing and early implementation strategies.

"This project demands a high level of planning and coordination due to the complexity of its designs and execution methods," he said, emphasizing that such large-scale productions typically span several years.

However, the team is taking a more focused and strategic approach to the preparatory phase to expedite the timeline. “We’re aiming to complete in one year what usually takes several,” he noted.
