Iranian animation brings Iran–US missile war to life

Iranian animation 'King of Water' themed on Iran's missile power hits the local theaters in the country.  

After 12 years in production, the action-packed animated film by Majid Esmaeeli dives into the heart of the Iran–US missile conflict and the battle of narratives in the soft war.

Esmaeeli said to the media that the film, made in 2013, still feels fresh and relevant.

He notes it predicted recent events in Iran — "even the 12-day war imposed on Iran."
