'Yooz' roars past records in Iran cinema

The animated movie 'Yooz', directed by Reza Arzhangi , sets a new record for the highest single‑day audience for a children’s film in Iran’s cinema history.

The film was screened nationwide on Wednesday, earning 33.6 billion rials and attracted 70,000 viewers in a single day.

Previously, the record was held by 'Hero Sheep' with 51,000 viewers, followed by 'Smart Kid' with 49,000 viewers. 

'Yooz', a joint production of Iran's Soureh Animation Center and Vistamedia, tells an adventurous story about a Persian cheetah’s journey to find its way back home.
