The New Year knocks on the Iranis’ door in iFilm English TV Channel’s ‘In the Eye of the Storm’.

It’s the New Year in and family members have gathered around a traditional spread which has several symbolic items.

In Iran when the New Year comes, family members sit together to spend some spiritual moments and wish for a blessed year.

The series, produced by Masoud Jafari-Jozani, Abbas Akbari, Habibollah Kasehsaz and Reza Ansarian, and directed by Jafari-Jozani, spans the period of history between the revolutionary movements began by Iran's national hero Mirza Koochak Khan in the early twentieth century, to the freedom of Khorramshahr during the eight-year war between Iran and Iraq in the 1980s.

The story is told through the trials and tribulations, love and relationships of one family.

The most notable on the cast list are Parsa Pirouzfar, Sima Tirandaz, Jahangir Almasi, Laleh Eskandari, Akbar Abdi, Mostafa Zamani, Sam Derakhshani, Gelareh Abbasi, Saeed Rad, Kambiz Dirbaz, Saeed Nikpour, Mohammad-Reza Hedayati, Houman Seyyedi, and Fakhreddin Seddiq-Sharif.
