‘The Man with 3,000 Faces’ poised for big production scale

Acclaimed Iranian filmmaker Mehran Modiri is preparing to bring 'The Man with Three Thousand Faces' to life in what could become one of Iranian television’s most ambitious, large‑scale productions.

In an interview with local media, the head of the IRIB film production corporation Sima Film provided details about upcoming collaborations with director and comedian Modiri, as well as Sima Film's current production strategies.

Referring to 'The Man with Three Thousand Faces' as a sequal to Modiri's original 'The Man with a Thousand Faces', Mehdi Naqavian said that discussions with Modiri had continued for almost a year.

“Mr. Modiri now has ideas and concepts for this series which, if realized, could make it a highly distinctive production, possibly close to a big‑production level project,” he said.

Modiri was nominated for a Fajr International Film Festival's Crystal Simorgh in 2007 for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in 'There is Always a Woman Involved'.
