Eleven hours of becoming unhuman in 'Frankenstein'

Australian actor Jacob Elordi has undergone an otherworldly transformation for Guillermo del Toro’s adaptation of 'Frankenstein'.

The star revealed he spent up to eleven hours in the makeup chair each shooting day as teams of artists assembled a complex web of full-body prosthetics to bring The Creature to life.

“Guillermo said this would be not just a meditation, but a metamorphosis,” Elordi shared, describing a process that blurred the line between physical endurance and emotional immersion.

Frankenstein's phenomenal debut marks the biggest one for del Toro on Netflix.
