Designed by Mehdi Davaee, the collection features a main poster inspired by a photograph taken by Jassem Ghazbanpour, accompanied by additional artworks referencing Kiarostami’s 1994 masterpiece 'Through the Olive Trees'.
The imagery serves as a visual homage to Kiarostami’s enduring influence on Iranian and world cinema.
At the unveiling ceremony, Raed Faridzadeh, head of Iran’s Cinema Organization, emphasized the cultural resonance of the director’s legacy:
“Cinema creates a space for reflection and storytelling. This year’s festival poster honors the late Abbas Kiarostami, one of the greatest filmmakers of the world, whose work embodies a part of our collective identity and is deeply rooted in Iranian culture, thought, and language.”
The 43rd Fajr International Film Festival will take place in Shiraz on November 26-December 3, celebrating both the heritage and evolving landscape of Iranian cinema.
