Hollywood icon found dead in possible homicide

Rob Reiner, the legendary filmmaker behind classics like 'When Harry Met Sally' and 'The Princess Bride', and his wife were found stabbed to death.

The couple was discovered in home on Sunday afternoon with police focusing on the couple’s adult son, Nick Reiner, a screenwriter who has previously spoken publicly about struggles with drug addiction and homelessness.

“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner,” the couple’s family said in a statement.

Authorities say a knife was used in the attack, but no suspect has been arrested.

The couple married in 1989 before having three children.
