iFilm TV reports on closing ceremony of the 44th Fadjr Theater Festival, held at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall on Sunday.

iFilm English TV has reported on the closing ceremony of the 44th Fadjr Theater Festival which was held at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall on Sunday.

The ceremony, honoring the winners in different sections, was attended by a number of cultural officials, including Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Abbas Salehi, Deputy Minister for Artistic Affairs Mehdi Shafiee, Director General of the Performing Arts Office Reza Mardani, Head of the Cinema Organization Raed Faridzadeh, and Head of the Public Relations and Information Center of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance Niknam Hosseinipour.

On the sidelines of the ceremony, Salehi highlighted the importance of creating an intermediate space within festival environments.

“The atmosphere of our festivals should be designed in a way that considers the current conditions of the country while ensuring that artists and audiences do not feel confined in a heavy and restrictive environment. Instead, there must be a balanced and acceptable intermediate space,” he said.

“However, theater has always been intertwined with life and shapes the narrative of our existence. Throughout various periods in Iran's history, theater has been alongside the people, and fortunately, the 44th Fadjr Theater Festival proceeded under the banner of 'Solidarity with Hope,” the minister added.

“Today’s closing ceremony is essentially a prelude to the 45th Fadjr Theater Festival, as theater has always been and will continue to be a companion to life,” he also noted.

The Fadjr Theater Festival is held annually in conjunction with the Fadjr celebrations which are held annually on February 1-11.
