A photographic exhibition titled "Iran's Plaza Event" has opened at Tehran’s landmark Azadi tower, on the eve of the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory.
The exhibition that opened on Sunday features a curated collection of images from the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
It is intended as a visual recounting of the historical events that led to the fall of Pahlavi dynasty.

Organizers state that the event aims to "re-read" the revolution's pivotal moments through photographs, particularly for younger generations who did not witness the events firsthand.
The choice of venue is symbolic as the Azadi Tower whose name translates to "Freedom Tower," was a key site during the revolutionary period.
"22 Bahman" is the Persian name for the date that marks the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
This year, the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution is celebrated on February 11.
