Iranian actor Enayat Bakhshi dies

Iranian veteran actor Enayat Bakhshi has died at the age of 80 after an illness.

 Iranian veteran actor Enayat Bakhshi has died at the age of 80 after an illness.

Bakhshi had been in the hospital for about two months and was being treated for several health problems and an infection.

IN 2025, he won an honorary diploma for Best Supporting Actor at the Fajr Film Festival. His most recent movie, 'The King's Role', was just in theaters.

Bakhshi started acting in 1959 with the National Art Group. After two years, he joined the Air Force, where he learned electronics and English and became a teacher in these subjects. During his 10 years in the military, he did not act.

After leaving the armed forces, he joined the Department of Theatre and returned to art. He was awarded a first-class certificate in art and literature by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. 

Bakhshi worked with many famous Iranian directors, including Ebrahim Golestan, Bahram Beyzaee, Ali Hatami, Masoud Kimiaee, Dariush Mehrjoui, and Davoud Mir-Baqeri.

He appeared in many series such as 'At a Crossroads' and 'Heads on Gallows'
