De Niro urges Americans to force Trump out

Oscar-winning U.S. actor Robert De Niro warns Trump will never leave the White House, urging Americans to remove him.

In an interview released on Monday with MS NOW host Nicolle Wallace,  the screen legend warned that Trump has no intention of respecting the Constitution’s two-term limit.

“He will never leave. We have to make him leave,” De Niro said bluntly.

With his voice cracking and appearing on the verge of tears, De Niro continued, “The story is our country, and Trump is destroying it."

He urged Americans to “resist, resist, resist,” comparing the moment to a life-or-death decision to “jump and run through the fire” in order to survive.

The remarks come just before President Trump delivered his State of the Union address on Tuesday , at a time when the president’s polling numbers on the economy have continued to slide.

De Niro, one of Hollywood’s most outspoken Trump critics, has repeatedly described the former and current president in harsh terms. In March 2024, during an appearance on HBO’s 'Real Time with Bill Maher', he called Trump a “total monster.”
